(FREE 3-Part) OSHKOSH Dementia Care Series: Part 1 – Our Aging Brain

October 29 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Part 1: Our Aging Brain: What is Typical? When to be Concerned?

Tuesday, Oct 29 from 1-2PM

What is normal and when should we be concerned?
If thinking and memory problems arise, can it be something reversible? YES!

Join us to find out more about the causes of these symptoms, what you can do to improve them, and how to know if it’s something more serious.

Part 2: Progression of Dementia – What Skills Remain

Tuesday, Nov 19 from 1-2PM

Learn a new and improved approach to understanding dementia progression through focusing on what skills remain, as opposed to skills lost. Gain insight into what a person with memory loss experiences and discover how to better support your loved one.

Part 3: The Language of Love: Become a Better Communicator

Tuesday, Dec 17 from 1-2PM

As care partners, we may experience communication snags with our loved one with dementia. Together we will untangle these challenging situations and explore new tools to help in your caregiving journey.

Free community series sponsored by: The Courtyard at Oshkosh
